I am not a board game playing person; the only board games I’ve ever played have been Monopoly (which I’m terrible at), Scrabble (also terrible), Headache (which I was quite good at) and Uno (if that counts). So when it came to jumping into the deep end of an abundance of board games, I didn’t know what to expect. Takenoko, however looked quite appealing as its packaging and components were all very aesthetically pleasing to the eye, presenting it as a warm and cute sort of game. It seemed more inviting to me personally compared to the other darker and D&D themed games that were played by other groups, which I tend to find too complex.
