In the third week of class we had to start conceiving our own board games. The challenge was a bit daunting because I don’t have that much experience with board games. We were advised to avoid ‘feature creep’ and stick to basics of how the game would operate. The university was given as starting example and I thought of pass lecture on the ideas of the Situationists. I’ve had plenty of story ideas for film and some video game mods but they still needed to simplified down to goals.
- How to get the players to move around the board?

- What changes throughout the game, i.e. putting objects on the board or taking them off?
