Within the early days of the gaming industry, violence and ‘bad influence’ has always been an upstanding concern. Some may even argue that video games can have a direct impact on human behavior and how we treat others. The main area of concern is well known to be the first-person shooter genre, but just how does the immersive aspect of character embodiment can it affect us?

Video games as we know are popular for creating diverse environments and worlds for players to interact with. When we put ourselves in that world and take the role of a character it gives us a chance to forget our daily lives. During this time we aren’t just playing, we are experiencing.
