Play testing on my game started a long time before the game itself was physically made. I firstly had to play test a number of components separately to see if they if they had worked how I had intended them to. The main component was the battle dice role. Originally I had planned to do a Warhammer style role where you had to role x amount of dice and of those dice, y amount of them had to be higher than the number z. That mechanic works well for a game like Warhammer because you are often dealing with large amount of dice at once so it is therefore easier to separate them into successful or unsuccessful based off a specific number.
