Our original narrative for our group game was a board game called “Escape the HECS”, an idea that featured the struggles of a Uni student with the play style influenced by games like CV and Game Of Life. I and my group consisting of Rebecca, Claire and Zoe decided after a chat with our tutor struggling to explain our game that perhaps it was a bit too complicated after all. Maybe the narrative of a sad Uni student was a lot less fun and didn’t work as well as we had anticipated.
So some play testing and adjusting occurred, and we chose to completely change the game while still keeping some of the original aspects of the theme; like the University student experience but instead of a depressing, dark sort of humour we opted for a more upbeat card game relying on strategy and…
