BLOG POST 1: Sheriff of Nottingham

My first game played in class was Sheriff of Nottingham, a role-playing game of deception. It was designed by both Sergio Halaban and Andre Zatz and it is the first game in the Dice Tower Essentials Line from Arcane Wonders. It won the Boardgames Australia Awards Best International Game in 2015 (BoardGameGeek, 2018).


It’s theme is a medieval marketplace in the city of Nottingham, where players try to get their goods through the city gate and passed the town sheriff in order to make a profit. Although this game is fairly easy to comprehend, as a non-native English speaker, there were points throughout the game that were unclear.
