CASTLE SHOWDOWN: The pitch and the lesson


The prototype pitch of Castle Showdown happening last Friday was the big step towards an official introduction and temporarily conclude the development of this fantasy-based game. The two of us, Dylan and I, have put our heads and hearts in the game, thus along with the feedbacks, we have achieved much more than we had expected as we put our first step into the game making industry.


Being a group of two, we had more work to do but it gave us more agency to work with our strengths. During the development of Castle Showdown, we divided the job evenly and contributed to perfecting the mechanics. While Dylan pitched the ideas of character system, materials, and calamities system, I proposed game narrative, the defense system and went through the mechanics to assure Castle Showdown gives all players equal opportunities to accomplish their castle building.
