Following last week’s blog post regarding the material components of my proposed game, this week I am going to discuss the degree of abstraction evident in my game. Using this insight will enable my game’s development process, particularly in regards to the rules, themes and mechanics.
I began this week by visiting The Gamesmen to give me some further ideas in developing my physical game prototype so I can start play-testing with people. The store had a large variety of boardgames to inspire my game development- even Splendor, the game that inspired my prototype’s aesthetics (which I explained in the initial makings of my game)
