Last week’s game update discussed the play-testing developments of my game in relation to it’s degree of abstraction. This week I’m going to discuss my prototype with attention to it’s rules.
When informed that we needed to start developing our rules this week, I realised I had a few difficulties in my game I needed to overcome as some thing weren’t making sense to me such as how the character cards were going to stay anonymous, how they players were going to trade rings and how players would be able to find out others’ character cards in order to attempt to win the game.
After discussing the mechanical aspects of my game with Richard I came away with a few developments of my game.
- Remove the merchant card- what is in it for them? what is their goal?
