Game Prototype – Second Last Post

I’ve had various instances where I’ve realised that I have made my game too difficult. I’ve changed characters, items, the story and the theme of the game. I’ve been trying to narrow down my rules in order to make a smooth, easy to play game that is enjoyable for a wide variety of target markets. However, at one point I did realise that I shouldn’t worry too much about the target market, and just to make a game that i’d enjoy. That’s how the story of the lockout laws came in, and the futuristic storyline was removed (and also there wasn’t enough substance to warrant a futuristic setting and storyline). I’ve incorporated dice into the game to add an element of chance, however incorporating it into the detectives question asking adds another potential way to play the game.
