The internet has brought human beings closer together, more so than ever before. Proof of this can easily be seen within the world of online video games, and one of my favorites; World of Warcraft (WoW).
As humans we crave social interaction and community by seeking like minded individuals, this has been true for the Warcraft franchise and it’s loyal fans since it’s first iteration ‘Warcraft: Orcs and Humans’back in 1994.
Blizzard Entertainment, a company now partnered with Activision resulting in ‘Activision Blizzard’, is about to release World of Warcraft: Classic. This has resulted in a divide within the player-base and I plan to explore this social phenomenon.
