If this phrase sounds familiar to you, then you have encountered elitism in the gaming culture. Like all subcultures, such as film and music, video gaming culture is rife with its own elite squadrons of gatekeepers and elitists that are desperate to tell how that the way you play video games is the wrong way and to be a “true, hardcore gamer” you must subject yourself to playing the most punishing games that are available on the market.
And don’t you dare think about asking for help or looking up a walk through, you filthy casual.
