One of the main reasons videos games get refused classification is due to the content or theme that is discussed in the video games. As outlined before there isn’t much separating a video game from an MA 15+ Rating to an R Rating or even games that are refused classification. The key term as discussed before is “excessive”. Video games that are excessive in violence, sexual imagery or drug use will be deemed as unclassified and will not be able to be purchased in Australia.
