Throughout my research, I asked myself the question of why people enjoy to play video games in the most fundamental sense. Of course, this question bares answers that are entirely subjective and will vary from player to player. Some prefer to play a nice and easy game to blow off some steam at the end of a stressful day, not really looking to add any more stress or frustration that they might already be feeling. It’s just a way to shut off for a few hours and wind down. Others may decide to challenge themselves and play a game that pushes their skills and patience to the limits just so they can have the satisfaction of saying “I did it!” at the end of the game.
