Mark Major (2014) explains that themes help to set up parameters of how you expect a game to take place, what behaviours you expect and how you will be interacting with others. In this way my games theme is science fiction, or more specifically an AI surveillance style game. Major also explains that narrative is the unique sequence of events that players experience during any specific game session, meaning that the narrative for my own game is a race to destroy an AI surveillance system called HAIL who will also be attempting to destroy you.
