‘Wa$te Wizardz’ is a group designed educational board game. Susie, Adrian, and I wanted to design a game that would be entertaining and informative to a younger demographic, specifically young teenagers.
ABC’s ‘War on Waste’ says Australia is one of the most wasteful countries in the developed world with 3.3 million tons of food waste produced every year, 2.6 million of that from households. From these statistics, we understood that waste is an issue that we wanted to make our audience aware of through entertainment.
Through weekly Zoom chats, Susie, Adrian, and I have collaborated to design a rough outline of the game mechanics and theme. We also selected our target audience and used weekly lectures and content as a foundation for the growth of our project.
