Welcome back to my 3 part blog series, where I will be analysing a range of successful marketing campaigns and strategies used in the gaming industry.

In this blog, I will be analysing the well known 2006 Nintendo game, Wii Sports. Wii sports was developed and published by Nintendo for the Wii video game console. The game was released in North America along with the Wii on November 19, 2006.

Wii Sports included five sports in the collection, tennis, baseball, bowling, golf and boxing. Players are able to use the Wii remote to mimic actions performed in real-life sports, such as swinging a golf club. The game also features training and fitness modes that monitor players progress in the sport.

So how successful was their marketing campaign?
