Ideation and Concept
The concept of the importance of the analytical framework of attraction, monetisation and audience to the success of games was the key to my digital artefact. These elements are vital to the success of the mobile game Fishdom and helped to aid in its popularity. As the game was built to attract a certain audience it learned how to monetize to suit this.
I relied heavily on my blog posts for this assessment and used them as a starting point for the creation of my digital artefact. Thus I used the following methodology:
- I decided on my analytical framework – attraction, monetisation and audience
- I used each of the blog posts relating to the task to create a base for my final project
- The pitch and beta feedback was essential in aiding me to properly establish the proper trajectory of my video essay project
